Strocit: Post Stroke Exercises - An App for Stroke Survivors
Strocit: Post Stroke Exercises is a free mobile application developed by Sun Pharma for Android users in the Education & Reference category. It is designed to help stroke survivors to improve their balance, ability to move and restore muscle strength through exercise programs. The app features two exercise programs in video animation format with easy to follow steps, adapted from the National Stroke Association. Moreover, the app is presented in 11 regional languages, making it accessible to a wider audience.
The most common physical effect of stroke is muscle weakness, and this app provides a unique experience and excellent visual communication tool to help survivors regain their strength. The first exercise program is for those whose physical abilities have been mildly affected by the stroke, while the second is for those with greater limitations. Each program is preceded by a profile to help users choose the appropriate one for them. However, users are advised to consult with their doctor and/or therapist before beginning the program, and to avoid any exercises that cause pain or increase stiffness in their limbs.
